part 1 : the year is 2020, nasa are preparing for their first manned mission to mars, not just a celebrated nasa event, an event celebrated throughout the whole world, the new moon landing for the present world, launch date 31 december at precisely midnight. launch day finally arrives with the world watching in excitement as the first manned mission to mars launches, as the world watches the shuttles successful launch, everything going smoothly for the shuttle, just outside of earths atmosphere, all communication is lost with the shuttle & the shuttle completely vanished from radar. part 1 end
